Eligibility Criteria 

  • Operating in Canada or if not incorporated, team with at least a founder that is a resident of Canada aged 18 and over at the time of registration;
  • Team of 2+ (incorporate or not);
  • At minimum with a prototype when registering.
  • Be in the process of launching your product or assessing your capitals needs;
  • Have high growth potential and global impact targets
(hereinafter the “eligible participants”)
**The following are not eligible as participants: members of the challenges givers teams – not necessarily the whole organizations, members of the jury and people with whom they are domiciled, mentors and people with whom they are domiciled**

Challenge Partners

Collaborate and work alongside one of six major industry partners to invest time, expertise and money in your innovative ideas successfully.

In partnership with the Cooperathon and our partner organizations’ teams, we are offering a unique tailored parcours & prizes for ambitious startup entrepreneurs to save you time, accelerate your access to market and increase your chances of success

Access to the competition’s GLOBAL platform, find missing talent & connect with specialized mentors.

Access to the tailored program to the needs of startups with prototypes, looking to validate their project.

Access to a highly specialized mentor for personalized follow-up & la-carte workshops.

Access to the group and private meetings with challenge company & potential of a follow-up meeting post-competition. 

Personalized coordination by Foundry/Desjardins and Montreal NewTech team to guide the teams to find the right challenge for their solution and connect them with the program partners.

The Cooperathon Grand Prize: for the best solution in
the Beta category, value of $ 25,000.

Winning teams from each challenge will receive
a direct scholarship of $5,000.

3 to 5 months of support and networking with the
Desjardins Foundry program and MontrealNewTech.

Between $5,000 to $10,000 in services to the
startup to be defined together.

Open innovation grants: Each Challenge Partner offers
a grant to the winner of their Open Innovation Challenge.
